Question:

Do I need studded winter tires in calgary?

I am moving to Calgary from the East coast of Canada.I have a Mazda3 with studded winter tires. Since it is dry and clean there, would I need the studded winter tires there? Should I sell them here or take them with me?Thanks for the advice.

Answer:

Well, white phosphorus is not exactly forbidden, no. What is prohibited is using incendiary munitions against civilian targets. What is allowed, however, is using smoke munitions. So white phosphorus, when used to create smoke screens / mark targets is completely legal. As for Israel / Gaza conflict, International Red Cross has no evidence of illegal use of white phosphorus there.
I think they should ban automobiles, or at least the evil features. There is no reason that anyone needs a fully automatic transmission. They should ban high capacity gas tanks too. If everyone was limited to 2 or 3 gallon gas tanks, they could still make it from one gas station to another, and could carry extra 2 or 3 gallon gas cans if they were traveling in areas where there were not many gas stations. If there was a police chase it would be over in 40 miles or so. They don't need high power engines either. There is no reason for an automobile to be able to go over 75 miles per hour. They need to eliminate exhaust suppressors or at least require a $200 tax. I think that would eliminate a lot of crashes because you could hear the other automobile coming towards you before the crash.
No argument that White Phosphorous was used. The usage of white phosphorous against civilians is prohibited under international law. Using any munition targeting civilians is proscribed by the Geneva conventions. Chemical weapons convention does not consider WP a chemical weapon. Illegal use of white phosphorous by Israel in Gaza?' Using phosphorus to illuminate a target or create smoke is legitimate under international law. There was no evidence that Israel was intentionally using phosphorus in a questionable way, such as burning down buildings or consciously putting civilians at risk.
It's not illegal by international standards, but your not supposed to fire it in to crowded areas. THey fired that gas in to the most crowded patch of land on Earth.. They knew what would happen. They didn't even need to use it. I doubt it did any damage to militant's most of the victims were children.
