Question:

Do i need to change transmission fluid?

I have a honda accord 2001 v6 automatic. is change the oil the same as changing the transmission fluid?

Answer:

Sort of. A lot of people just drain and refill. I think some shops will vacuum out as much as possible and then refill.
What about putting the printed image onto a license plate? Those are real cheap and it could be kind retro looking with a rock star looking through raised letters?
I would recommend changing the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. And use genuine Honda auto trans fluid (aftermarket fluid can cause slippage and harsh shifts). Also, DO NOT let any shop do a power flush for the trans. This can cause problems and is not needed for a normal trans fluid change. If you want to do it yourself: There are two bolts that need removed: one is a large bolt (about 1 inch across) on the top of the transmission housing to fill the trans, the other is at the base of the trans to drain it. Make sure to get replacement crush washers to put back on the bolts, as they seal to prevent leaks and can't be reused.
