So when the wheels don't turn too well its the bearing that need the cleaning right? If possible instructions on how to clean bearings would be nice.
Oooo guy, cleansing bearings is a tricky interest. ok 1st, dont pour a answer/water/something liquid on them. it can cause them to rust up and that wouldnt be relaxing. in case you pick to bathe the exterior of them whilst their nevertheless interior the wheel, what i do is take a toothpick and in basic terms scrape off the airborne dirt and dirt and grim. it works surprisingly darn nicely.
If you have cheap bearings - like $15 jobbies - no. Just toss them and get new if they are slow. Stop skating in water or spots that will gunk them up. If you have good bearings like swiss - take the covers off, soak them in a glass jar of gasoline (carefully) for a good day - then take them out and let dry on a papertowel. Rip and tearrrrrr.
If the wheels aren't turning, it is possible that your trucks and bearing are rusting together...did you ride through water, then not ride for an extended period of time? If so, you should take it to a skate shop and see if they will clean them for you, and if they can't, you may need new bearings and trucks. Also, if you can get the bearings out (using a T-tool, of course) and they are rusted, you can get new bearings, soak them in Gasoline for a day and pop 'em in! I hope this helps, -Nate
