Question:

Do paramedics take the elevator or the stairs?

This is a random question, just curious.Say you're in an apartment building, third or fourth floorSomething happens, paramedics are called (likesay some guy is bleeding to deathGunshot wound, arterial cut, whatever).Do they climb up the three to four flights of stairs or do they take the elevator? And even when they do get up there, do they have to go down those three or four flights of stairs, with a stretcher and miscellaneous, or do they take the elevator?I've only had one experience with paramedics and it was in a house not an apartment a couple floors up, soI'm just really curiousDo they always do one both ways or do they like, stairs up and elevator down orsomething?

Answer:

Does a doctor think about evolving from a monkey when determining what medication to prescribe, or when performing surgery? No more than a crane operator thinks about it when he is lifting a large I-beam into placeSo that's all you got? LOL at you!
If evolution were not proper, all of latest medicine would under no circumstances have workedAll scientific advancement these days begins off in mannequin organisms, seeing that we do not relatively just like the notion of injecting random chemical substances into our youngsters to see what happensAs a substitute we study bacteria, and insects, and worms, and pigs, and rats, and mice, and monkeys, earlier than we even fascinated by experimenting on peopleNONE OF THIS method WOULD WORK IF WE weren't EVOLUTIONARILY involving THESE other SPECIESThe mannequin organism method is founded on the idea that as you progress along the species from distantly regarding us to closely concerning us, the clinical results of what we're doing to them are prone to higher mirror what is going to occur in peopleIf some thing works in a rat but now not in a monkey, it is not really to work in humansBut when it doesn't work in a rat and does work in a monkey, it is valued at pursuing extraAdditionally, an understanding of how closely each organism is concerning each different organism is central to doing these experimentsIf we did not appreciate evolution, we would test on, say, a monkey first, then move on to fruit fliesIt will all be a waste of timeIf no longer for our working out of evolution, the only method we would transfer forward in treatment would be to have huge numbers of people being killed for medical experimentation.
Most likely the elevatorWe had to carry all of our equipment, ALS bag, EKG/ defibrillator, and the stretcherTechnically we could leave the stretcher at the bottom and carry the other items up to assess the situation but then you either have to go grab the stretcher yourself or get someone to do it and it just sucks up time In your specific scenario You would want to grab and go not mess around having to go retrieve the stretcher so personally I would try and take the elevator, plus it is tiring to go up all those stairs with all that equipment and you need the energy to run the call.
