I'm not sure if the type matters, but one is milky quartz (white) and one is rose quartz (light pink). If these affect pH, do they lower or raise pH? I've read they are safe for aquarium use, but I can't figure out if they will affect the pH or not.
yes just because they are called two different things doesn't mean there different
No quartz is a mineral granite is an igneous rockthat contains quartz, feldspar and mica, among a few other minerals. Granite is formed by magma that is rich in silica that cools slowly underground
