Do quartz rocks affect pH?

I'm not sure if the type matters, but one is milky quartz (white) and one is rose quartz (light pink). If these affect pH, do they lower or raise pH? I've read they are safe for aquarium use, but I can't figure out if they will affect the pH or not.
