How old is your child?My son is 3 and I still rock him in a rocking chair or recliner. I really think that over 5 years of age is too old to rock in a rocking chair.Every night I rock him in a rocking chair, tell him a story, sing him a song, and kiss him while patting his bottom to sleep. I do not think he is too old for it.
shes 18 months and we've never really rocked her. we have a glider chair and she loves to sit in it alone, but only sometimes will she sit in my lap. i think if its part of your night routine with a book thats sweet. if you are rocking him all day for no reason, that might be kinda strange.
My son is 20 months old and I think he's already too big. I would love to do it still, but he's super tall, 30lbs, and hates to be held down!
My daughter is 15 months. We don't rock to sleep, but we rock during the day. She loves to sit there alone, or with me.
If you think its fine then its okay he's your child so can't anyone tell you different. I actually think its pretty cute that he's being read and sung to every night. I know he's a very smart toddler.
