Question:

Dodge Grand Caravan transmission filter removal.?

I dropped the transmission pan drained fluid on my 93 with 3.3 motor and four speed automatic. How do you remove the filter and the fluid in the converter?

Answer:

I would expect that the filter is held in place with a retaining bolt or bolts. Look for the location of bolt hole(s) on the new filter. Or consult a service and repair manual for the make and model of your vehicle. While you are looking at the manual check for a procedure to change the fluid in the torque converter. That procedure may require the services of a transmission or automobile service shop.
The filter on that transmission just pulls out. One of the front corners of the filter will have a spiggot on it that will just pull out. Usually you can twist it back and forth and it will come out. You might need a screwdriver and pry on it lightly. Then it will come down. To get the fluid in the torque converter you have to flush the transmission. Doing a service on the transmission get's 80% of the fluid anyway, so I wouldn't really worry about doing the flush. If you still REALLY want to, you can pull one of the transmission cooler lines off, into a bucket and let it drain out. You'll have to put 6-8 litres through before your sure that you got all of the fluid.
