In the past when we have bought a washer, usually the company installs it. My friend has a brand new never used front end loader that she wants to sell and I want it, but she said something about it being complicated to install and needing a board or something to put under it? I live in a pier and beam home and it may not be 100% level in there, but it looks like it is, and we have never had a problem with our other washer, so I am not sure what she means about it being very complicated to install. My old washer, you just hook up the hoses, and plug it up. Is this very different?
Installation is the same for top and front load... hot and cold water connections, and an electrical plug. Leveling feet are the same. The board she is talking about may be a pedestal to raise the machine to a more convenient working height. If you can install a top loader, you can install a front loader
Front load washers usually are a bit on the short side and need a pedestal to raise to a proper level. it will work fine on the floor but You may have to bend over to use the machine.
