In my drama class, for a warm-up, we get onto a spot in the classroom, and..1. Close our eyes and mouths, and imagine water running over our heads, and shoulders, and it's relaxing, etc.2. Shake our body in this order: Roll your head to the left, to the right, shoulders up and back, up and forward, elbows, wrists, fingers, hips, knees, ankles.3. Shake-down. Shake your left hand 5 times, shake your right hand 5 times, shake your left foot 5 times, shake your right foot 5 times, 4 times, 3 times, 2, 1, whoo!4. Then we do this oooAAAAAAaaooo thing, our teacher says &Ride the roller coaster. oooAAAAAaaooo.&5. Then we pronounce our vowels. aa-aa-aa-aa-aa, ee-ee-ee-ee-ee, ii-ii-ii-ii, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo, uu-uu-uu-uu-uu, and repeat.6. We get in a circle as we say, &Rubber baby buggy bumpers& 5 times. Then we play zip, zap, zop! It's actually kind of fun. Does anyone do any of this stuff as their warm-ups, or just randomly, or whatever?
You are creating a fire hazard. Even though the heater is set at 60. It will reach it's maximum output temp to get the air to 60 then shut off. A 100 watt light bulb in the box would do just as good.
Have you tried checking the batteries? I have heard that you can get free smoke detectors from your local fire station, this may not be true in all areas, otherwise they are normally only around $12, which isn't bad if they actually ever save your life!
