becos i know apricots and beans do and they are high in fibre
Depending on how much she hates water you can wet a rag and distract her with hay while you wipe down her backAlso have you tried a sweat scraper? They do a great job of cleaning sweat off a horseYou can also wait until the sweat and dirt dries and use a hardbrush and/or curry comb to get it offIt should come right offGood luck!
I know what you're talking aboutI work at a therapeutic riding center for special needs kids, and our horses do it all the time in the heatWhat we do, is we take the saddle and saddle pad off of courseThen if your horse uses fly spray, you can get a spray bottle and spray her with water on the areaIf not, ignore thatThen we get a curry brush and brush them in circular motions all over and around the sweaty areaThen get a fan above her, a cieling fan, and turn that on to air her outGet her used to water by putting it on with your handsIt shows her that it's safe.
You'll have to slowly introduce her to the wash stallDon't let her run outLet her sniff the water and such, then when she is used to it genitally spray her legs with waterYou can eventually move up and soon cover her bodyThis may take days, or monthsAnd give her lots of treats! My pony used to run over you to get the out of the wash stallNow shes an angleTake her in after every time you ride, and sometimes just keep her in there and brush her, so that she knows that just because she goes in there she doesn't get a bath all the timeFor now, you can take a damp sponge or spray bottleDon't use shampoo, it would take to much water and time.
I guess it would depend if the cereal is high in fibre
Get her used to waterIt's important that horses allow you to bath them in case they get an injury that requires rinsing or hosing, or even soaking in Epsom salts water! So use treats, have a horse-experienced friend help you out, and get that horse used to waterBest way to do this? A low-pressure hose by her feet.once she's fine with it running by her, run it on her hooves, then up to the legs, etcgive lots of praise and treats to encourage relaxationI know that's not the answer you wanted but it's vital that horses do know that water won't hurt them- if you have to flush out a wound or hose down some swelling, you want her to be relaxed quiet for it to prevent further injuryInstead of hosing down sweat stains, just use a bucket of water and a sponge.
