first thing you need to slow down before you kill yourself or some other innocent person ! slamming on the brakes at that speed you can pop a wheel cylinder or ruin the master cylinder ! also that,s a good way of busting a brake hose or line ! start checking out stuff like the master cylinder, all the brake lines and hoses, if you have rear drum brakes check the wheel cylinders !

Your master cylinder is going out on you and maybe the brake booster. The reason your car no longer shakes is you deglazed the brake pads while hard braking. (That is how you bed pads in when they are new too.)
