Question:

Does the size matter of the door speakers?

Basically I was just wondering if there is a difference in speakers like with 5.5 -6.5 inch component speakers. I have an 01 honda civic EX sedan and need to get a set of component speakers and amplifier for the speakers. Could you explain the difference and recommend what I should get?

Answer:

Well depending on what size of speakers you are replacing usually determines what size you should get. Example: My 1998 Chevy Lumina has a stock speakers size of 5.25 so when i upgraded speakers, i got a 5.25 Rockford Fosgate component system. If, however, you are just adding speakers and not replacing them. 6.5 speakers will give you a bigger bass, and a 5.25 or 5.5 speaker will give you more of your mid-range higher notes. So depending on how you like your music, will determine what speakers size you would want :D At least that's how i understood it! Hope this helped, Good Luck!
Better quality better sound. Do some research and talk to a few different people before you buy.
