Hey all!Ok 4 months ago i got my hair backcombed into locks for religious beliefs, i have used NO product, and will not use any! I was them only with an ackee bar, pure plant resin!The problemAfter 4/5 months they are starting to tighten up, and most are round from the scalp to about half way down where they go flat! locking your hair is a process, and it will take time for them to matureyou can spend once a week palm rolling your hairbasically you wash it, roll it between your palms a few time so it round out, then let it dryyou might want to clip it and sit under a hair dryer (get it from the ethic beauty supply stores, don't bother with a hand dryer) if you want to avoid mildew, but i always prefer to air dry my hairyour hair, especially if straight, isn't going to look like everyone elsesfrankly, i've seen flat dreadlocs that look beautiful tooyou should read a book called Dreadsthey have pictures of people from all nationalitiesI commend you for not using product, btw you can also latch hook your hair to maintain your locksso many straight haired people do back combing like it's the only optioni wouldn't even use plant resinyour hair will lock, it needs NOTHING but time to rest and grow and your finger tipsEdit: you can also yarn wrap your hair (basically what it sounds like, warping yarn around each hair)Make sure to not use a fuzzy yarn as you don't want fuzz in your locsUse something natural, like a silk fiberyou can get yarn anywhere.
Sort ofA bundt pan has the wavy individual dents on the bottom (that show on the top when you dump it overI think the fluted tube is flat no? As long as it has the hole in the middle you should be fine.
