I was trying to remove a little transmission fluid from my dodge intrepid with 3 plastic straws stuck together, and one of them got disconnected and stuck in the filler tube. I tried removing it but just ended up getting it stuck furthur. Should i take my car to a mechanic and have the tranny pan dropped to remove the straw? Will it do any damage driving it to the shop?
the filter will prevent the straw from causing damage
Well if the trans is way overfull then you may want to drop the pan and put in the right amount this time.
I would just leave it. I doubt it will cause a problem. Someday, you should have your transmission fluid changed after many miles. Just have them take it out then.
