Question:

Dyeing my mohair cardigan?

I just got it but it is a weird tan color and I want to dye it black.I know that the material is dry clean only and that most dyes requires the fabric to get wet but I was hoping that someone would know of a type or brand of dye that would work without ruining the cardigan.

Answer:

You can dye mohair yarn before it's made into a garment but if you get a mohair garment wet, even with cold water dye, it will never be the sameThe furry fibers get permanently matted and dense instead of light and kinda fluffy like it's supposed to beI would return the sweater since you just got it or learn to love tan!! : /
Aluminum foil is obvious, because it is a metalSugar in water will not for one reason, it does not produce ionson the other hand KOH (potassium hydroxide) dissolves in water KOH - K(+) and OH(-) which can conduct electricity by transferring charge.
Aluminum will conduct electricity because the particles or tights enough to flow currentwater is a conductor and if you disolve patassium hydroxide in water will change the make up of the solutionthere for stoping the flow of electrons.
aluminum foil bcoz its metal and KOH in water bcoz it produces ions to conduct elec.
aluminium foil will conduct electricity as it is a metalyou may ask,so whataluminium has free electrons that conduct electricitykoh dissociates in water and forms k+ and oh- ions that conduct electricitykoh is an ionic compoundsugar won't ocnduct electricity as it is a covalent compound and does not dissociate
