So I just added a Cold Air Intake (CAI) into my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. And I have been having some problems, such as: when i hit the gas the motor sounds like its bogging out. And i have a check engine light on. Now ive only run the motor for about 30 min with the CAI on. I guess my main question is.Will the ECU program its self to the new fuel to air ratio???
are you sure its not your mass air flow sensor? check that some cars require a better mass air flow sensor when you put a cold air intake on. and this could be spendy too. my buddy has a 06 escape got a used cold air intake for a couple hundred and then had to buy a $500 sensor. good luck to ya
A quick way to tell what code your ECU is throwing is to run to Wal-Mart and buy a scan tool. Or, you can go to a Pawn Shop and pick up an Innova scan tool, they are cheap and effective. The Innova scan tools tell you the code your engine is throwing and what the code is, that way you can narrow down the problem. The code is a generalization, not a specific. If it says Mass Air Flow Sensor it could be the wiring, harness, or the MAF itself (this goes for all emissions sensors and the others). In any case, I'd start by removing the negative battery cable to reset the ECU back to it's default fuel maps. Then, make sure that you have the MAF plugged in correctly, that the harness and wires are in good condition, the CAI does not have any leaks, any and all vacuum lines are plugged in correctly. This may not solve your problem, but it should help get you on the way. I doubt having to purchase a new MAF sensor is applicable since you aren't going to outflow it.
do no longer understand WTF you probably did on your vehicle yet you have controlled to throw transmission codes and the tranny is now locked interior the fail risk-free mode. It won't pop out of the fail risk-free mode till you have the vehicle scanned on the broker and function the undesirable electric powered section replaced. you elect the broker mutt II test device to study the tranny codes and then erase the easy to get out of fail risk-free. Unhooking the battery won't decrease it. The battery being disconnected for see you later your PCM has misplaced it incredibly is memory and you will would desire to tension the vehicle in end and circulate site visitors without a lot became on for the PCM to do an idle relearn.
Mystical Mamba is on another planet- her children matered talking before the age of 1yrs? What fully comprehendable sentences? I'll believe it when i see it. Anyway chick, my lil girl is a month older than your lad. She too isn't saying much when it comes to words. She's very loud with shreiking shouting in baby babble, can say some words like mama, dada and will every so often surprise like this morning she said get dolly but she probably won't say it again for a long time, when she was 12 months she ran up to a picture of a cat pointed her finger shouting cat, cat. It hasn't happened since lol. She won't ask for anything either, like her milk, she just does the mmmmmm, mmm thing until we guess what she wants. We are hoping its just because she's more active and won't sit still for a mere second. Also perhaps if a baby was hardly left to cry like ours, they may become reliant on the parents to instantly know what they want because they have never really had to kick up much fuss for it. If you are worried though try doing more research into it to hopefully put your mind at rest.
Target Wallmart carry a line of Carter's children's clothing that is 100% cotton, and is relatively inexpensive. You may also want to look at your local goodwill stores or on Freecycle for free/inexpensive baby clothes. You may also want to try OKorder. A lot of people sell whole lots of baby clothes for under $20. I know I have gotten things at yard sales good will that were brand new still had the tags on them! Other items were still in really good shape. As your baby outgrows clothes, you may want to sell them off to buy new items for her as well, just remember to keep an outfit or two for the memories.
