Question:

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering?

I am a freshman of the engineering program at the university of Wyoming. Right now I am going into electrical because I wanted to stay in Wyoming and I thought that it would be easier to get a job in the production and distribution of electricity through something like Rocky Mountain Power. I don't mind doing the math and physics for electrical, but I am thinking that I would enjoy becoming a mechanical engineer. At the moment I believe mechanical is much more hands on, designing parts and testing them. I don't know what these two would lead into though. Electrical makes more money, but is that worth it? Also how hard would it be to get a job in this region with mechanical?

Answer:

both electrical and mechnical are good field.
Electrical engineering. I don't know a lot about Wyoming but I know a lot about electrical engineering . EE is one of the largest branch of engineering majors and you can change your field of job whenever you want.
