You can do it yourself easily. Hot glue and carpet fibers.
Pick ip the carpet in one corner of the room and cut off some of it. Glue the fibres lightly into the hole untill it seams right to you. Don't have somebody come out. You will hardly be able to tell.
This is business question. I can tell you there is a minim so its not the size of the repair (how small). It is a question or overhead skill and knowledge. I'm guessing $40 to 80 depending on overhead and how far you are for the person to get to you and how long it takes to set up, repair, get it right, tear down (load up the tools) and get back to the shop..Plus the cost of any materials no matter how small materials can be anything from glue to the fabric to gasoline for the truck depending on how the person charges. And remember he has truck insurance and telephone and family just like the rest of us.
