T I suggest placing a plastic sheet then a fitted sheet then a plastic sheet then another fitted sheet on your childs bed That way when the child has an accident during the night he can remove the top two layers change pajamas and get back to sleep quicker Bed wetting has many causes, from emotional trama to physical immaturity of the muscles concerned..I was a bed wetter as a child and one night I accidentally put my pajamas on inside out one night and didn't wet the bed, I convinced myself that it was because of the pajamas being inside out and continued to wear them that way for several years never wetting the bed again Each child will eventually find what helps them in over coming the problem.. Until then try to help your child manage it on his own, let him come up with creative ways to try to over come it Most of all never poke fun at or make your child feel self concious about the bed wetting, he will eventually out grow it
There are devices which wake a child up when wetness starts in the child pullups. This makes them aware of the need to go to the restroom and over time the unpleasantness of the noise helps them to break the habit. If there is no emotional issue causing this, then something of that nature will probably help train the child away from the bed wetting. If there is no luck, see your pediatrician so other options can be explored. Good luck, hon, and let your boy know that we're behind him 100% in his efforts.
I am on our HOA board and when the speed bump idea was presented at one of our meetings it was because the homeowners requested one and we just like yours could not do it unless we had 2/3rds vote by the homeowners so they just like us cannot just put them in place but besides that you must read your covenants because in ours it states All speed bumps must be accompanied by a proper warning sign such as Speed Bump Ahead. The sign may also have a plate indicating how many feet ahead so that motorists can anticipate the jolt they will feel when they go over the bump. Failure to post such signage can result in tort liabilities
My son had this problem as well.. lots of reasons why it could be happening. The no liquids after a certain time is a good idea. The most important thing to remember is he's not doing it on purpose. No kid likes to wake up wet and uncomfortable in the middle of the night so don't make a big deal of it, believe me, he feels bad enough as it is and embarrassed I'm sure. I would definitely speak with his pediatrician to make sure there is nothing medically wrong. My son was a really, really sound sleeper and just wouldn't wake up when his brain told him he had to go to the bathroom, but he eventually outgrew it. Make sure and keep a rubber sheet or some covering on his mattress so it doesn't get ruined and have clean sheets and blankets available for him if he has to wake up and take wet bed coverings off. Love him lots and be patient -
thats fine you dont need to have him stop drinking at 6.30 what u should do make sure he uses the bath room before he goes to bed try that for a week if that does not work it could be because of medicine hes on and if its not that dont let him drink pop after 7:00 and i bet it will work making sure he uses the bathroom befor he goes to bed i used to have the same prolbem o and you can get a plastic sheet for his bed so u can just whipe it off after he wets the bed
