Ever felt like a paper crane?
Physically, folded to and fro, folded back over again, then backwards with a bent beak and wings enabling me to creatively go beyond all limitations of an ordinary piece of colored paper. Many journeys traveled as a paper crane, lion, and dragon!
A thousand paper cranes will grant your wish (or so the legend goes). But a piece of paper can also be used to draw a picture - which is worth a thousand words. Which one do you think I would choose to be?
It feels more like a feather crane to me...
Made to fly, bended to will, broken in the process because some jerk knocked you down. At the end of the day tossed away because you're nothing more than a delicate pretty thing in their eyes, with a skin as thick as the tissue paper you're made of. Yep.
I have felt like MAKING a paper crane, since I have taught origami. ( Japanese art of paper folding) but I have not felt like a paper crane. I guess that's fortunate.
