Aren't you a biology major looking for work? Is it for N Korea? I don't see how getting a job in your field can be dumb. Just make sure you don't take your work home with you. You haven't given enough information to judge otherwise. How are wages, bennies, etc?
For my motorcycle, I wear Full-Face helmet, and yes, I wear glasses no problems with fogging up, but I have a good shield and good ventilation. For my scooter, I wear a 1/2 helmet with flip-up bubble shield to protect my eyes from bugs and road debris. I always recommend some type of face-shield, or goggles at the least Bugs, debris, rocks, etc. don't feel too good when smacking your face, even at 35mph. But the biggest reason is that you only have one pair of eyes.. PROTECT THEM when riding. A good choice for scooter riding is a 3/4 helmet with full shield, but there are also plenty of 1/2 helmets out there which offer 1/2 or full-size shields I suggest you shop around to find one you like.
