i use soft scrub and a blue scrubbie, neither will scratch the surfacethe green scrubbies scratch so make sure you get a blue onei cut them in half making it easier to use and more economical too :)
Actually some super advice has already been given-maybe I'd add- try not to drop or splash food etc when cooking (?).
I know what you mean about the icky stoveI spray on Dawn Power Scrubber on the stove and wash the racks in the dishwasher along with the burner gratesThe Dawn stuff really worksThe caked on yuck comes off easily.
Make a paste of 3/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup salt, and 1/4 cup waterSpray the inside of the oven lightly with plain water and spread the paste over the interior - be careful of bare metal and don't let paste clog openingsLet sit overnight (or at least for a few hours)In the morning, wipe up the paste and all the crud comes with itThen wipe the oven cleanA really dirty oven may require more than one treatmentIn the future, to keep it clean, pout salt on spills as they happenAllow surface to cool and easily scrape up the messGood luck!
