while checking wiring in ceiling fixtures, some fiberglass fell. I vacuumed it up. how dangerous is it? we have kids here and nothing was covered as we didn't expect that.
it is there to keep the cold air from the attic out of the house and to keep the heat from the light from getting to flammables in the attic
For no more than you could have dropped out of a ceiling lite fixture there's no problem at all. You did the right thing, just sweep it up and dispose of it when you dump the bag. There's no danger of any contamination from that small an amount of fiberglass.
Most ceiling light fixtures were built with a pad of fiberglass insulation and some with a Al foil sheet for temperature control in light fixture-- usually it was a yellow fiberglass--- no big deal if some fell when you took the fixture down---
not dangerous on skin, it makes you itchy. but inhaling alot without a respirator is bad.
