I have seen that the first line of fire hose is 100ft and then the following lines are 50ft sections, Why is this?

You don't! I got one of them a few years back. I lived in Philadelphia, Bensalem now, and I lived on a cul-de-sac. I parked at the hydrant because there was absolutely no where else to park. My father is a retired cop, our best friend who lives across the street was still on the job and so was my brother. The idiots up the street, who's father was an inspector, had one of their famous drunken parties. Someone called the cops. I had to pay it after I peeled it off the car because it had rained pretty good later that night. Just pay it.
