Acer AL2016W. The recommended resolution setting is 1680x1050. On that setting the screen blinks off and on randomly but frequently. Less blinking at lower resolutions. Blinks about once every few minutes at 1440x900. No blinking with my old LCD monitor. Video card pretty new powered by NVIDIA GeForce 7300LE.
The frequency or refresh rate might be set wrong. Try changing them. Right-click on the desktop then Properties Settings Advanced Monitor then select the proper freq. like 60 Hz or 75 Hz.
