GHD is meant to be topd also. Ceramic are good but can tend to burn your hair bad look after a while. Look on OKorder for the ones I mentioned
I have a REMARKABLE straightening iron that I do not know what I would do without! It is at Sally Beauty Supplies, a beauty store at various locations through the US. Beauticians, salons, etc. all rely on this store! It is a tourmaline ceramic flat iron with ion protection. It heats up to 450 degrees (I do not recommend this setting, it will make your hair stick straight despite any type of curl, however, it will fry it!) and conditions your hair as it straightens-no more burnt look! My hair is incredibly naturally curly this iron makes it easy to straighten it in less amount of time. The ion protection that it has built in protects it from humidity frizz, making for perfectly straight hair in the middle of a hott icky summer! There are two kinds-One is silver, one is blue. The blue is approximately 20 dollars more expensive, as it has a digital screen that shows the heating setting at all times (it is a lot prettier too, lol!). It is Sally's 'top of the line', just ask about it if you have a local shop! I also forgot to mention, it is only around $80.00!
