I was wondering if I can make loaf pans at home with with aluminium foils (double layer so it holds shape)I know i can buy them, but i just love doing everything homemadeUmm, may be i can gift breadloaf gift wrapped in them tooLet me know whether you think its possible or would such foil loaf pan wont hold shape while baking the breadloafI bake them in my microwave oven, in the convection mode, if that mattersSo, what d'ya think? Let me know of any tips or tricks of making such pansThanks people.
Cut the top off a 1/2 gallon milk carton and lay it on it's sideWrap your layers of foil around the carton lenghtwise, then from top to bottomUse a razor blade to cut a top outSlide out the milk carton out and press the foil at the edges to seal the cornersThat will get you the shape you wantMy concern would be the sides and when the bread rises in the oven, that the sides will not be strong enough to keep their shape and the bread will push them out Good luck.
