Hey everyoneI bought a 160 year old farm house with the true cut 2x4 studsThis winter we got destroyed with heating billsWe have insulated the crawl space in the basement with R-30 and put up a 6mil sheathing over it but still got really coldWe are also losing heat in the atticMy question is once we get into the walls (drywall over plaster) and take out the blown in crap could we use a Gap Filler along the seams of the exterior sheathing and the studs then put in a high R rating insulation? There is only 2-3 inches of space in the wallsAny help would be really appreciatedWould love to have a warm home next winter! PS im a DYI person.
