I just recently moved into a remodeled home and am renting the house. I was told by my brother-in-law that the LANDLORD should be taking care of/responsible for the gardening issues (backyard/front yard maintenance hiring some professional people). If they fail to do so, then the landlord should take off some $$ off the rent. Is this true? In my lease agreement, she attached a piece of paper to the lease that states that I am responsible to upkeep the yards. Is this true or should I contact her and let her know that the garden isn't my responsibility? Thanks!
Challenge her to a dual or better yet,arm wrestling.
In most of the places I've rented, the yard was the responsibility of the renter. It seems as if your lease spells this out all the more clearly.
