My transmission is starting to slip bad. Its a 99 with 120,000 miles on it. About 900 miles ago I had a tuneup including oil change and transmission fluid. If I do get a new transmission is it possible for me to get manual?
well, a regular transmission replacement is about 1000-2000 dollars at a typical shop for a typical car. IF u want to convert to manual you'll need a new ecu (i think), the manual transmission, clutch cylinder, hard lines for the master to slave cylinders on teh tranmisson, new axles, pedel assembly, shift linkage, and shifter. It'll be a lot of cash, but sure, if u got deep pockets its possible. A more cash friendly way would just to buy a manual car.
