Question:

Good home design websites?

My friend and I (both female) are moving into my parent's basement and we want to make it look nice. Decorations we are interested in are like more urban style.... pastel colors and cool designs would be nice. Also, we do have a budget to stay in, so a less expensive website would probably be best. Thank you:)

You okorder and also Better Homes Gardens. Just realize that the items shown on Better Homes Gardens are going to be more expensive because they are catering more toward people with more money to spend. IKEA is also a good source for ideas, especially for creative storage solutions for smaller spaces. They also have a good selection of inexpensive area rugs and smaller decor pieces too. Target has some really cool bedding options as well as inexpensive artwork (photo, photo-real canvasses, posters, etc.). And remember that just because you get ideas from a page or source doesn't mean that you have to purchase from the store behind it. Dollar type stores (Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Dollar General), Wal-mart, K-mart and even Big Lots now carry a lot of things for the home. With Big Lots, you have the added bonus of being able to get home goods, pots pans and kitchen goods, cleaning supplies and basic grocery staples all in one place.
Check okorder / They have great products.
