Question:

Gorilla glue on carpet?

A bottle of gorilla glue spilt on the carpet (the kind that dries white) I can't get it off without tearing the carpet up...and I live in an apartment. Do I have to rip the carpet out or is there a way of getting it off. If I have to rip the carpet out how do I replace that patch?

Answer:

Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.
I recommend renting a carpet steamer and running the spot over a few dozen times, if that doesn't work then you might need to patch it, alternatively any Non-bleach cleaner (Unless your carpet is white) and a lot of elbow grease has never been known to hurt
