Question:

guitar action too low or high?

i bought an acoustic guitar a couple days ago, i tuned it, but still, when i strum the D string there is a buzzthis happens on some others stings too but not as loudfrom looking at the side the D string looks a little more elavated than the others is this b/c of action? how to change the action? the buzz also is comming from the machine heads or bridge sometimes when i strum the D string.

Answer:

I would use stainless steel bolts and counter sink them so it is flushYou could also do an etching in the center if you are artistic enoughYou can get the bolts and counter sink from Home DepotRemember when drilling into Lexan that you do not drill fast, slow will give you a cleaner hole as well as not melting it cheers
Double side carpet tape
i would say it is a dead-note (when the metal bar that stretches through the neck has an improper bend causing a certain fret to sound buzzy, and is easily fixed by using an alan wrench on the bar that you see when you take off the little plate right by the nut of the headboard).but im not sure if it happens on open strings.does the whole string (every fret) sound buzzy?.
