I have a 1987 $500 Estados Unidos MexicanosUSA 1979 one dollar coin1978 half dollar1965 half dollar1992 half dollarI have 3 of these 2000 one dollar coin (i cant tell if its gold or copper)1967 half dollarWhat could I get for them at a place that buys gold/silver?
Most of the US coins are worth face value. The 65 is 40% silver and currently worth about $7 The 67 is worth about $7. Don't know about the Mexican coin. The 2000's look gold but they're neither gold nor copper, well maybe a little bit copper.
The 1965 and 1967 half dollars are 40% silver and contain, at current silver price, roughly $7 of silver each. The best dealer price in my area is $5 each. They go to refiners for melting down and refining the 60% of copper (which has value but you are paid nothing for it) out of them into pure silver bars for the bullion market. The rest of them are copper/nickel composition and you'd get nothing at a shop. The Mexican coin, if it's like new, might get you a dollar from a collector. Mexican currency has been devalued at least once since it was issued and it is an obsolete coin with only whatever collector value there might be. The 2000 Sacagawea dollars are mostly copper/nickel but are given their gold color by the addition of manganese. All of the US coins except the two silver ones are face value coins to be spent.
