Question:

help hamster stuck in his tube!?

my hamster is stuck in his tube i dont know how to get him out!

Answer:

Get a used kitchen towel inner-tube, wrap a dish towel round the end for cushioning and use it to very gently ease him out by applying very gentle pressure on his bottom. If the kitchen roll tube is too big, cut down the length of it to make it narrower. Then get rid of hamster tube or cut back on his diet ADDED: Please do not use oil or butter esp as your hamster will then digest this when he is grooming later and it could prove harmful.
ok so get a hammer if its one of those hard plastic tubes, and then smash an end wear the hamster is not near so u dont hurt him and then once it breacks, you can make the crack go all the way to the other side and then you can take the tube inhalf and out comes ur hamsteR:] also you can try putting some olive oil around him and try pushing him out with something, dont worry, hamsters are always getting cought i n tight places, thats what their boddy is for
Ok my teddy bear hamster got stuck in a cardboard toilet paper roll and (i feel so bad for doing this) but I hit the end of the tube with the palm of my hand and he came out but i don't reccomend you do that. But I dont know it is cardboard or plastic if it is cardbord maybe cut it up if it is plastic hit it with a hammer.
If a hamsters head can fit in the hole, it's whole body can come out. Do you see any signs of suffering? If not, your hamster just likes the tube and wants to sleep in it. You should try to get something with a soft edge and I mean soft like a sponge. Then you can push it out safely, without damages. Plus you can separate the tube parts or lure it witha treat.
He's probably not stuck. He probably likes the enclosed space of the tube. Hamsters rarely get stuck in places like that. They are designed to fit into small spaces like those, and those tubes are made for them to go into. If you're really worried about it, and they are those plastic tubes... Usually those tubes are made to be able to take them apart so you have 2 halves of the cylinder. (like if you cut a toilet paper roll the long way.) Just take it apart that way, and he'll come right out. Otherwise if you can reach him, just tap his hind end and if he isn't stuck he should move a bit.
