Answer:

2 cups sifted flour 1tsp salt 1 cup shortening/ or butter (half butter and half shortening works great) 1/4 cup ice water Mix flour and salt togetherCut in shortening and/or butter until crumbly (use pastry blender or cut with 2 forks) Stir in water with a fork until dough holds together Form into 2 rough balls (equally) Roll out lightly (too mcuh handling makes dough tough)
Never Fail Pie Crust 4 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups butter flavored shortening 1 tablespoon white sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup ice water 1 egg 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar In a large bowl, mix flour, shortening, sugar and saltAdd ice water, vinegar and eggBeat to combine.
2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 pound lard (or butter, 2 sticks is fine) a tbs of sugarmix with hands until crumbly, add (this is my secret to make the dough flakier) GINGERALE until the crust is a good dough texture, (start with about 1/2 cup and add more if it's still too dry) you can use water if you don't have gingerale if it gets too wet, add more flour/ make into sofball sized ball and roll on floured surfacePut into pie plate and trim accessRemaining dough can be frozen Good Luck:)
I JUST put up a post about this like an hour ago! Heheee Pate Brisee (fancy name for pie crust) (makes 2 crusts, so you can save 1 in the freezer or make a 2 crust pie) 2 c AP flour 1/2 c cornmeal 1 t salt 1-2 T sugar 1 c cold unsalted butter, cut into smallish pieces 1/4 cup sour cream 1 T cold vinegar Ice water 1Combine the flour, cornmeal, salt and sugarAdd the butter and work in until sandy with fingers2Add sour cream and vinegar and work inSlowly sprinkle in the ice water until a nice dough forms3Divide dough in half and put one in the freezer for later! Take the other one and let rest in fridge for 20-30 mins before rolling out to form a discThis will firm it up a bit so its a little more sturdyRoll out until about 1/8'' thick and proceed to fill!
Pour some alcohol on the stain to disinfect it (or a liquid detergent with oxygen if you have any) and then put it in the washing machine with regular detergent and wash at the highest temperature allowed for the blanket (60 degrees Celcius should be fine)You can use some white vinegar instead of fabric softener for extra disinfection and removing of smell.
