There seems to be a lot of different grades of leather for upholstery and I want a soft but hard wearing leather for my new sofa. Is Italian leather better than Spanish? Is there a certain thickness or grade I should ask for? Any help would be appreciated
I don't know about the dif. betwn. Spanish and Italian but, there are definitely different grades of leather. Our first leather sofa was a lower grade than the one we have now and it stretched when someone sat on it. The higher grades wear well, don't stretch and look even better with a little patina. Make sure you talk to the salesman and ask about it. There might even be helpful sites on line. We own a Natuzzi but, there are dif. grades with them too.
ok a cow is a cow is a cow etc . i dont care if the cows from italy spain france hes still a dang ole cow . ok now get the thick leather and use conditioner on it all the time. i have leather in my trucks and on my sofa. but do you get my point they say its italian leather to make it sound like you should pay more. leather is made the same everywhere there is no other way to make it better
