I would use tampons if you will be running because if you run with a pad on it will be uncomfortableI think its a good idea to start using tampons so you wont have to miss out on track or for instance swimming when you are on your periodIf you are close with your mom you could ask her to buy tampons and try and help you learn how to use them properlyI would recommend getting plastic applicator DO NOT get the cardboard ones trust meWhen I fist learned how to put in a tampon I used the cardboard ones and they are very hard to get inI prefer Playtex with the plastic applicatorAs far as your cramps go, don't let them stop you from doing your normal routine just take two ibuprofens, advil, or tylonol when you start to feel your cramps comingWhen I was in school we weren't allowed to have medication on us so I would take 2 ibuprofen's every morning so I wouldn't get crampsI really hope I helped!
