Question:

home oxygen use near a fire?

home oxygen use near a fire?

Answer:

I am not clear on what your question is. If you are asking is it safe to use home oxygen near a fire, then the answer is no. There is a terrificly high danger of combustion as in to explode.
Bad idea. This lady that lived where I grew up smoked while using her oxygen despite warnings not to. She ended up catching on fire when her oxygen tank exploded, her whole house burned. All they could find of her and her little dog was their bones. It was really sad.
This is why they don't let people smoke in hospitals. Oxygen from a tank doesn't just flow into your nose and mouth, it actually seeps into your clothes, your hair, and anything around you (furniture, blankets, sheets, pets, etc.) making them all much, much more combustible. Keep away from fire and sparks when you use oxygen, no matter where you are
