i tried to make a oil lamp out of a Tabasco sauce bottleusing the instructions for other homemade oil lamps as a guidelinebut the wick seems to be burning no the fueli tried different wicks wicks like paper towel and strips of like cut up cotton t-shirti tried alcohol and canola oil but no combinations seen to work any suggestions?

Answer:

No, but you can share your connection through a LAN via a router.
Maybe the problem is wicking the oil up verticallyOld arabian oil lamps were wide and shallow with a low wick Try a rolled paper towel wick 1/8 of an inch in diameter in a saucer of oilWrap the wick with about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of aluminium foil and bend the foil so the wick sticks up about 1/4 inch from the oil and place it in the saucerI tried peanut oil and it went black but about 1/4 of an inch stayed there and continued to burn, wicking the oil up only about 1/2 inch the oilIt has been burning for 20 minutes nowBe careful, this could be easily knocked overDon't use it near children or animals The combination of alcohol and oil sounds dangerous
