Hi, Question may sound dumb, but im only asking. How would they load, lets say a fire truck or an excavator into a cargo plane? And where would they do it, I couldnt imagine them loading up an a taxiway. Basically i want to know what happens from when you arrange to have the vehicle flown out to when the vehicle is at its destination. Thanks.
Large military cargo aircraft do this all the time. It's nothing special, and it usually is done on the tarmac at an airport or military base. They just drop the aircraft's loading ramp and drive the vehicles on board. You might want to research aircraft like the C-5a Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster or even the C-130 Hercules
