I am biulding a small wooden machine prettty much like an excavator for my science project. It works on the principle of hydraulics and uses pistons (with coloured water). Now I want to make it more cool by either usind electricity or some mechanical way. So, if you cant tell me how a hydraulic piston of an excavator controlled, please tell me to how to power a piston using electricity.
The pumps are not controlled they are either on or off. they just pressurize the accumulator and fluid is steered with valves to the rams.
