I think a capstone microturbine is good for about 60kW or so. If you want less, you might try a water-cooled internal combustion engine with a heat exchanger.
yeah, just get a generator. If you want to be green you can get a diesel generator and run bio diesel. You should make a battery pack to act as a buffer between your power demands and the generator so it can run how it likes, just when the batteries get to about 20% charge, and until it brings them up to 80%. A 6kw generator would do the trick just dandy, and about 15, 60 amp hour 12v deep cycle batteries, and an inverter. Then you can add a few solar panels if you want too.
There are heat pump systems that also produce hot water for point of use systems. Alternately, if you are using propane, they do make tankless propane water heaters, usually from 130,000BTU on up. If nothing else you might locate one from an old travel trailer or buy a new one from a trailer supplier. Those of about 130,000 and larger you can get at home centers like Lowes, Home Depot and others.
I hear the first step is to look at your use of energy and see where it can be reduced. This would cut back on the total power you need to produce. A certain amount is wasted. Batteries would be a must being the need to level out production with demand. The wind turbine won't be producing power all the time. You'll have periods of low or high wind where the system shuts down.
get an instant water heater and a diesel or biodiesel generator. or solar panel if you're willing to fork the extra money over for one. they will pay off in about 20 years or so, depending on how much energy you consume. also, reduce your energy consumption. this will help you greatly. Like Smoky Bear tells us to prevent forest fires, only you can reduce how much energy you need.
