Question:

How can I help reduce my iron deficiency?

I am iron deficient; it‘s a genetic trait. What foods can I eat, or what activities can I do to reduce my iron deficiency?

Answer:

KN's are always a good purchase because of the power and mpg increase and you will not need to buy another air filter again
Yes, but not by much. With only 190 hp to start with, you may see 1-4 hp gain. The filter improves air flow so if there's restrictions elsewhere in the engine, that restriction will limit the power.
Eat more iron rich foods like meat (especially organ meats like liver if you can), green vegetables, beans, blackstrap molasses, etc. Iron is stored in the blood, so really increase these types of foods before and during your period Avoid anything high in calcium for at least an hour before and after eating iron. Calcium blocks iron absorption. Caffeine does too so you may want to avoid it completely Eat more fruits and vegetables, especially with your iron. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron more easily Talk to your doctor about what could be causing your low iron - If you have a mal-absorption problem, it may be related to a food intolerance (like dairy or gluten) that is weakening the lining of your small intestine, where nutrients are absorbed. Avoiding that food could help your iron levels. - Chronically low iron can also indicate an infection. Bacteria feeds on iron so your body will sometimes naturally stop storing enough so that the infection can't spread. Get tested for autoimmune disorders just in case - Very heavy periods can also make it hard to build up your iron, so get your hormones tested to make sure nothing is wrong there.
