I'm getting new carpet put down in my room soon, but I'm very clumsy and I can't keep it clean. Is there some kind of carpet protector (much like a screen protector for a phone) that I can put over my new carpet?
Don't take food or drink into your room keep all make up nail polish in the bathroom it should be OK.You could try putting a thick sheet of plastic over where you walk etc but really,you need to learn better habits is my advice.
This is easy, no food in your room. Nothing other than water to drink. No painting of nails or painting in that room. Vacuum twice a week and it will stay stain free.

some carpeting comes with a sheen kind of covering called Scotch Guard (it's nothing like plastic, it was sprayed on at the factory). Don't worry about keeping it spotless (just keep ink off of it, tar from your shoes, and paints and nail polish and nail polish remover, clorox, etc.) You can always spot clean a carpet, and you can always have guys come in and for around $40 a room they can steam clean that carpet. Maybe every few years or so.
