I have a twin sized bed, and I want to loft it enough to put my desk, or loft it not that high but enough to put storage boxs. What to do?
You need to find a pattern for a loft bed somewhere--what you would probably do is to build the loft frame then use your twin mattress (not the box spring) on top of that. It's too complex a situation to describe here--you need to find a pattern you can follow, buy the materials and follow construction methods that best suit your particular situation.
You can also buy a loft frame from inexpensive furniture stores or thrift stores.
