Probably not much, quartz (SiO2) is one of the most common elements on the earth. It would make a good bookend or doorstop though
You might want to have somebody examine the stone. Piedmont North Carolina, if you're in the right part, is part of the eastern gold field. Gold usually is found in rose or smoky quartz, but there may be gold in your rock.
