Question:

How can I preform the perfect Penalty kick in soccer?

I'm in U14 AA soccer, and I am having trouble preforming good penalty kicks, and scoring on goal in general. Does anyone have anyadvice on how I can improve my kicks? Thanks!

Answer:

Try and predict the keepers moves. Go for corners top and bottom and sometime in the middle if you are good at tricking. Also just don't put to much pressure on your self.
when u kick if ur rite footed kik it at the bak rite top corner of the ball at an angle. it will make it curve.
Ok im a right footer so this is wat i do..... Place the ball down on the spot, look at the ball not the goalie, and walk back directly in line with the right hand post.... walk back just outside the box... Keep looking at the ball.... make sure u run in a straight line towards the ball which is in line with the pole and side foot it into the bottom right corner...
Well, from a goalkeeper's perspective, I would have to say, the only penalty kick I've ever let in, the player kicked it with the outside of her foot, really hard into the top left corner, and I would have stopped it except that I hit my head on the goal post and knocked myself out....ouch. So yeah, using the outside of the foot is good. Also, look straight at the goalie, like directly in the eyes.
when taking penalty kicks look at the ball, lean forward if you want a low kick, lean back a little if you want some air on it, try to kick with the edge of your big toe with the edge of the ball, this should curl it in the low left side. if your looking for a corner lean back a bit get your toe under the right corner of the ball
