How can I protect a device from magnetic field?
Shield it with a metal covering.
One needs to surround the device with a material that has a high magnetic permeability. Not all metals have high permeability. See table at the second source. When a high degree of shielding is required, the standard method is to use a special alloy known as mumetal.
