Question:

How can I use Mrs Stewart's bluing in a front loader machine?

It says to add it to the final rinse, but once the cycle is started, the soap drawer locks. I would add it to the fabric softener drawer but you have to mix it with a fair amount of water. If there's too much water in that compartment, it just empties out into the load. Could I put it in the bleach compartment? Thanks.

Answer:

Email the manufacturer and ask them their recommendation.............
It should be fine in the bleach compartment, because the bleach is diluted with plenty of water. However, it will be released during the wash cycle, rather than the rinse. If the fabric softener gets diluted by the machine as it empties, then it might work to put it in the fabric softener compartment. My machine obviously is different from yours.
We have a front loader too...I would put it in the bleach compartment....that holds I think about a cup full....Should work though....you could also use it as just a rinse. Ours has a Drain and spin cycle and a rinse and spin...we can set for just rinse. See if yours has that...and just run the load with the Bluing as a rinse and spin....after you do the wash cycle...
